We are a group of friends but since each room has each own balcony, we can still able to enjoy our personal quiet time. The beds are all big and comfy.   Very quiet and peaceful area. Room was large with a nice sized bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Nice people every morning to talk to. Enjoyed our stay very much. Short drive to Nubble Light house, Kittery and the beaches. Can walk to York Harbor beach down the street from Albracca.

  I liked the large space (1 king, 1 set of bunkbeds, two full baths and a half bath), decor, and location (felt safe). The check-in process was quick and easy as well, and parking was free plus near the back door.

  Unfortunately, this first-time visit to an Origin didn't meet my expectations for several reasons even though the hotel seemed to be very new. One issue was cleanliness because there was a crusty, used washcloth balancing on the shampoo/soap dispensers in the main bathroom shower as well as a torn piece of wrapper and a couple of hairs on a chair when we arrived. Another was safety/quality because the bunkbed had a rickety ladder that felt unsafe to the young adult using it and a remote control for the TV in the main bedroom was missing. Last, but not least, the fire alarm went off at 5:45 a.m., so with the adrenaline pumping, I wasn't able to get back to sleep and get the sleep needed for the day ahead. When I called the front desk to ask if the alarm had been a false alarm, the person who answered said she had just gotten a text from the maintenance person and that it was a false alarm. She said, "Sorry about that" and chuckled a bit. Not funny. Maybe have a policy where if the fire alarm goes off and it's a false alarm, all currently registered guests get a text soon afterward with a message to reassure them that it was a false alarm.

  That they didn’t have free breakfast. But my top complaint is later on in the evening I went to the front desk to get a little thing of toothbrush/toothpaste and they didn’t have any but that’s not my concern; what bothered me was the change of front desk staff from when I arrived to later and it was like night in day (seriously too) The first person who helped me out was a very respectful and polite women; helped me out with additional questions I had that I wasn’t sure of and she didn’t mind at all. Helped me with the door! Everything she did was so nice and sweet. Then the switch was insane. At night I went to the front desk to ask for hygienic products and a different women at the desk didn’t acknowledge my presence for the first eight seconds that I got there. She was on her phone and then when she noticed that I was there, she pretty much brushed me off, saying we don’t have those products here and didn’t care to look me in the face and apologize for the inconvenience..?

  Very disappointed that a nice hotel like this didn't have complimentary coffee in lobby,had to buy it at cafe,or use the small coffee maker in room,every hotel we have stayed in ,cheap or pricy had coffee in lobby. And their free breakfast advertised was an apple,muffin and small bottle of water in a sack.
