  I fell in love with this place the minute I saw the balcony. I couldn’t believe it, It was like I hit the jackpot. I had coffee on my balcony. I had wine on my balcony. I sat on my balcony at midnight at 2 am. I have never had a balcony in a hotel less than $200 a night, never. The food was OK. The staff was nice but the balcony that did it for me.

  Love the retro-rustic feel of the place and the location so near the park on Boulder Creek which is just on the city's western edge. A very pretty area. I really appreciate the staff and the pleasant breakfast also.

  Given the age of the place, the bathrooms are a little pinched and can be slightly difficult to move around in. Personally, it wasn't problematic for me, but I imagine it could be for others.

  1, the location, near major highways and near NYC.

  1. the toilet wasn't flushed when I entered the room for the first time. It was really gross. 2. The refrigerator didn't work, it was packed with ice because it needed to be defrosted and so the door didn't close. 3. the hotel was dirty, it seemed like a transient hotel. 4. The staff were unfriendly or distracted. 5. I asked for a room either on the first floor or near and elevator but they gave me neither. They gave me a room on the second floor and the elevator didn't work.
