- “My wife and I came to Villa Kaliente on our honeymoon, and we are in agreement that the property was probably the nicest place we've ever stayed. That said, we had a complicated stay in Nusa Penida, due to the fact that my wife sprained her ankle pretty severely the second we arrived to the island (stepping off the ferry dock onto dry land). When we got to the villa, we were completely dependent on the staff, because my wife couldn't get around. The staff (and especially the manager Putu) went above and beyond, helping us acquire crutches and an elastic bandage, as well as picking up every single meal for three days! We're very thankful for their help, which saved this leg of the trip. Unfortunately, we were basically confined to the villa for three days; fortunately, it was an incredibly comfortable place to be stuck! We stayed in the king suite on the upper floor, which has an amazing balcony, and the most shockingly high-quality interiors of any place we've been. Everything was beautiful and comfortable: the furniture, the shower, the bathtub, the bed, the built-in cabinetry. We wish we could live in this room!! My wife was on the couch icing her ankle most of the time, and it was the coziest couch imaginable. The fantastic view of Mount Agung from the pool / our balcony is something I will remember forever.”

  The staff, Pool, Spa, Parking and Breakfast was wonderful! It was a super fun way to spend Father’s Day with the Aerial Tramway and relaxing poolside. It’s a little mid century gem in the heart of Palm Springs.

  The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were good and were what I needed - laundry, pool, gym. They offered a continental breakfast every day which was good.

  While the room was clean and working, some of the furnishings were a little old and worn out. The motel is also not located within walking distance of anything of significance and travelling outside would be difficult without a car or ride.

  The continental breakfast was very nice. Sheet change request fulfilled quickly.

  My sheets had not been changed before my girlfriend and I checked in. My side of the bed smelled like dirty sweaty body and it was unbearable. The marble toppers on the half walls were not secured and almost fell on my foot. The blinds fell off of the wall while being closed and nearly smashed my face. I would have been injured but thankfully I was able to move out of the wayThe wall looked old and weak. We were on the top floor so maybe there was some sort of roof leak. The elevator was rickety and was out of service on our seconds night stay. Working again in the morning though.

  The lack of water on the first day was unacceptable. The incessant testing of the fire alarm system from 6 am on the second and third day was beyond frustrating. The constant ringing every 10 minutes for hours was maddening. The breakfast buffet, despite being expensive, was of very poor quality. The restaurant service was abysmal - waiting 25 minutes for a burger in an empty restaurant is ridiculous. To top it off, I specifically asked for the meat to be well done, but it arrived pink. The server didn't even bother to correct the mistake.

  The people wasn't nice at all ! We arrived around 2 nobody entertained us we try to check in but they said the owner wasn't there! So we checked in late and the people Smoke pot in front of our room and so smelly!
