  The onsite restaurant and bar were closed which was a main reason for booking there. The 1st room we were put in was in a different building from where the coffee and breakfast were served. Which meant we would have to get dressed and walk across a parking lot in the morning to get coffee. The 2nd room had painters in it. The 3rd room the staff couldn't unlock the door. We settled on a four room which was fine. Overnight the toilet overflowed and flooded the bathroom because the flusher keep running. I had to shut the water valve off to stop it. The front desk was closed with a sign to leave a message at a phone number. However, there are no phones in the rooms. We had to get dressed in the middle of the night and use the bathroom on the 2nd floor in the spa area. In the morning, we were moved to 5th room to be able to use the bathroom, but the heat did not work. After lodging a complaint with booking.com who then sent an email to the hotel regarding our issues we did receive a refund from the hotel. However, there was some resistance from the manager until he saw the email from booking.com.

  I use to stay in this hotel everytime my boyfriend & I visited Charleston. However, the quality seems to lower everytime we visit. Our room didn't have a a microwave. The ceiling looked like it was leaving & they quickly patched it & didn't care how it looked. There was dog hair all over the floor. I don't have pets at home. I don't want a room that wasnt properly cleaned after hosting a pet. The lobby furniture was stained & dirty.
