The breakfast was beyond disappointing & the waiters/waitresses failed to smile but added a 20% tip or service charge which every American is expected to pay but coming from the UK and as I do not pay taxes in the USA I find it insulting to be forced to pay a tip for substandard food and service at the restaurant in house. In particular the steak and egg was disgusting and frankly we should have a refund for inedible breakfast charged at astronomical prices. What a huge disappointment.

The meals at the restaurant were below standard, waiting staff failed to smile & be polite and unaware of essential customer service skills and some waiters had the audacity to engage in an altercation with customers paying their wages & demanding 20% tip! Sheer ingratitude & self entitlement. The other issue was the deluxe king size room was small but notice to customers this hotels allows dogs so there might dog hairs lying around and on one occasion the lift was full of dog faeces which is absolutely disgusting. The staff immediately got this cleared out but this does not sit well with me, more so considering the expensive charges to stay at the hotel.Furthermore there appeared to be short staffed with the room being cleaned after 15.00 hours. At times no towels were left in the room, the door could not lock & in the night continuous noise sounding like some workmen undertaking work.

Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was modern and attractive. I liked my bed and slept well. It was quiet. Attractive central atrium. Food was good in the cafe. I liked the Hawaiian burger.

Bathroom was not good. No stand-alone shower. Bathtub needs either a non-skid bath mat or a better non-skid surface on the tub. No grab bars. Believe it or not, the bathroom is a dangerous place and many people not old or handicapped have fallen in bathtubs/showers without grab bars. All hotel bathrooms should have grab bars at entry and inside the bathtub. Pool was nice but the surrounding flooring was very slippery. Had to wear non-skid sandals to walk on it. Hot tub was cloudy.
