Very friendly staff who are happy to accommodate kids' needs, beautiful pools (especially the saltwater lagoon), gorgeous landscaping. Lots of seating and shade near the pools. Room was large and very comfortable. We also loved how quiet the guest room wings are - absolutely no sound disturbances. The dinner restaurants on site are excellent. Nice (if pricey) spa.

Very pricey breakfast options. The beach is not good for swimming. Pool restaurants don't open until 11AM, which is a bit of a problem with hungry, jetlagged kids, and don't have any coffee. If traveling with kids, just know that there is a 42 inch minimum height requirement for the water slide. They won't (or more likely legally can't) budge on that, even if a kid can swim, so just FYI to avoid disappointment.

The included breakfast options exceeded my expectations with excellent choices from yogurt, good scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal, etc. The location was convenient to the highway and the staff was pleasant.

While there is a beach area, it was much smaller than I imagined based on descriptions and photos! However lounge chairs and the ability to catch sunset was nice. But more than one umbrella on a single table around the pool would have been a welcome addition and encouraged me to enjoy it...without the umbrella...the heat was just too miserable!!

Butterfly exhibit and the possibility of many great amenities. The cleaning lady on our floor 2nd Monday and the valet guy working Monday morning were great and helpful.

The front desk staff very unfriendly and unhelpful. Menu selections in onsite restaurants. Pool bar closed , at Robin Beach , no food available and no activities available. The A/C cover fell inches from my little 2 yr old niece and it was disgustingly dirty .

The facilities were very clean and the grounds are very lush and pretty. The little breakfast room was cute. Not an elaborate breakfast but sufficient.

It is a very dated property. Although clean and charming it’s still old. The plumbing doesn’t drain well , the bed springs are noisy . The floors are miss matched. It’s right on the curve of a busy street. For the money $400 a night…. Not a good value.

I have medical issues and was in Houston for medical treatment.- this hotel was a bad choice! NO Elevator! NO morning coffee in the lobby! NO breakfast! If I had known all this when I was choosing a place to stay, i would have stayed somewhere else.. this was a ripoff! Do I blame Baymont or Booking.com???
