What a lovely and charming inn! The Salem Inn is a wonderful historical gem. It's perfectly located, has great parking, and the staff is efficient, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. As this was an anniversary getaway for us to Salem, we requested an upgrade if possible upon arrival, and we were generously accommodated. Our room was beautiful, with a few special and much appreciated anniversary perks. Aside from all of that, the room itself was sunny, serene and comfortable. In addition, the breakfast was delicious and served in an historic underground brick and granite "speakeasy" like enclave with lovely artwork and attentive waitstaff. Can't say enough about this inn; if you have plans in Salem, this is the best value/comfort/location and charm balance around.

The staff was super friendly! The room was comfortable and the bed very cozy. I loved having a refrigerator and microwave in the room! My favorite thing of all about this hotel is the location! It is right across the street from Disneyland... an eight minute walk. The whole experience was wonderful!!

The location is very close to the beach. The staff was very kind and assisted with our revised reservation. The lower cost at this location is nice.

Just know that this is a "hostel" with that type of vibe. Not a "hotel". We had a private room with private toilet facilities, but the majority of the property is shared common areas.

My wife and I are in our 80’s. The ice machine was out of service closest to our room, 365. Long walk to get ice! The small fridge in room is useless. Having to restart it every 2 hrs. Makes it so.
