This was our second time staying here and we were again delighted with the accommodation. It is just outside the city of St. Augustine and provides an economical alternative to staying downtown. We enjoy bicycling, so we rent bikes instead of a car and can get downtown easily. There is also an easy to use bus system that goes to many locations nearby. The room has a fridge and microwave so you can shop in the nearby grocery stores and have food in your room if you want to take a break from eating out. The breakfast is well done, and the pool is rarely crowded.

The room was clean and neat and comfortable. The beach was clean. Did not eat breakfast. Within walking distance of Cpt Jacks, which used to be Bishops and still seemed like the same atmosphere with all you could eat crab legs. I have stayed at the Chateau since I was a teenager coming to PC with my parents and still enjoyed being back as a 76 year old and am looking forward to another trip later this summer.

Pool was dirty Outside pool was inoperable for the entire one week stay No towels in pool area When I asked staff for towels she only brought in three however there were five in my party and another family of three in the inside pool area Thermostat in room broken and then transferred to another room that wasn’t handicap accessible when I noted on the trip that I needed a handicap accessible room I was told the best they could do was a complementary breakfast and that wasn’t helpful at all I didn’t need food I needed a room

Only one chair for 2-3 people to eat meals, play cards. No screens in our windows; buggy . Had to get stock from maid who had just done our room but left only one fork, no roll towels, no regular coffee in kitchenette. Coffee lid was broken. Front desk said we were lucky for what we got because she had overbooked. We asked for handicap shower hose & seat but did not get it. Tub was so slippery, my man put shower mat inside it for himself. We had packed a shower stool which we also used as kitchen seating .
