I loved the bathroom. All though it is small the shower is original to its time. The shower pan even has natural anti-slip with how it was made. I have been to 60 countries so far. For its location and size it is fantastic. I have been in much smaller rooms in New York and London. When people complain about the size I believe they are comparing to large chain hotels. I checked those places the nights I needed and they were three times as much. Everything about this hotel is cute and clean. What it lacks in size it makes up for in character.

This was my first stay at a McMenamin's property and I was thoroughly impressed. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very accommodating. They provided a guest package for our dogs which was much appreciated and helped us feel welcome. The wood paneling and decor of the annex where we stayed was unique and beautiful. The room was very quiet and we were able to get a lot of rest in the comfortable bed. We enjoyed watching a group of elk cross the golf course and head towards the beach around sunset.

Staff unfriendly and unwilling to address my concerns, from the get go at check in. The room was dirty, carpets filthy, curtains ripped, smell of weed permeated the halls, not enough towels in bathroom. Asked the front desk several times and never got any because they didn't have any available. They only provide two per room, the standard they said. We were three guests. Bathroom flooded after first shower. Maintenance guy said that it was probably the toilet leaking. There was a sealed around the tub that was peeling and had mold in it, and the toilet didn't have any caulking around it. The problem seemed to have been going on for a while because the linoleum was peeling on the edges and it had bubbles all over. They just did a patch up work after it flooded and call it good. It smelled of mold and the bathroom floor continue to be squishy. We asked to be moved to a better room, they told us the next day they will have one available. Went to the office the next day, and they said, they were sorry but they were booked as of 6:00 a.m. that morning. Couldn't stay in there any longer, had to check out and find a new hotel. I'm still waiting to see if they are honest enough to refund the money for the 4 days we didn't stay. DO NOT STAY AT THIS FILTHY PLACE!

When we arrived the lobby was very nice. Thought the rooms would have been the same. However, when we got to the room we open the drawers and there was mouse poop in the drawers. We went to turn on the air and there air conditioning was broken. We called the front desk they offered us a king room that wouldn’t meet our needs. Next day we asked them to fix the air conditioning to give them a chance to correct the issues and clean the room better. They fixed the air but did not clean well. The kids went to the pool the pool and hot tub heater was broken so we couldn’t use the amenities we were hoping to use. Then we went to sleep the second night only to have the just fixed air conditioning break again. Worst stay in a hotel in a long time.

I did not read the instructions and didn’t realize the bathroom was shared. But it works if you’re an easy going traveler not expecting a resort type of an accommodation. A shared bathroom is not a big inconvenience once you get used to it.
