Wow... it's a really great hotel. We just booked this hotel for an overnight stay and we were very positively surprised. The hotel seems quite new, is modern, has friendly and attentive staff, and the room was spotless clean. What makes the difference to other typical chain hotels is that this hotel is located in a very quiet area with no busy streets nearby. The amenities are top notch: the gym is modern and for a hotel well equipped, the outdoor hot tub was great, and the fireplaces are really beautiful. Guests were even provided a S'mores kit for free. Great little add-on. On top of that, we got the room for a very good fare (though it's just because we stayed during off-season). We liked it that much that we extended stay for another night.

Great location, just off the main roads. A breakfast was offered during announced hours but I did not partake as there were loads of outside options all around the area at timing I preferred. The staff was very cordial and went out of their way to be helpful. No language or accent issues here. Parking in the back lot just outside the rear entrance was not at all busy. There was plenty of space in the room and a fairly large refrigerator- larger than I expected. Microwave and a small coffee maker were also in the room.

There is no elevator. You must carry your luggage up and around the stairs to your room. That seems to be a Super 8 thing. The hallways were a bit noisy. My keycard seemed to always require 3 tries to get it to open the door. That got old quickly.

Multiple sinks were slightly clogged in the bathroom. They give you your bed sheets, pillowcase, and sheets. I didn't expect this; checked in late, so I was shuffling around for a bit and felt sorry for my sleeping roommates.

While the hotel was charming and the location was good , the beds were terrible and the bathroom for a standard king room was awful. First , the water pressure was similar to a moderately rainy day, so any dream of rinsing soap in this century was shattered. On top of that , the shower head is sky high so by the time the water reaches you , it feels like being spit on. Second, the sink was the size of an old-fashioned drinking fountain , so forget washing your face in the sink. Also, luckily, my daughter and I are petite , so we were able to function in the tiny bathroom, but I can’t imagine a larger person being accommodated. As for the bed, I woke up every hour with back pain. We stayed here for 8 nights and every night I couldn’t wait for morning to come so that I could get out of that bed. (I’m a fit, healthy 48 year old who doesn’t suffer from any back problems. ) I was drawn to this hotel by the classy charm it exudes, but it’s not worth it folks. A good mattress and a great shower are much more important.

We asked to be on first floor because we had two dogs one who was injured that we had to carry. We were put on the second floor and the farthest away from the elevator and my daughter had to carry the 50 pound dog all the way down the hall. They did not accommodate our needs.
