The place was very clean and well taken care of the property is dated but in good condition and new paint and plaster work was underway while I was there. The pool is great! Breakfast was typical continental.

The staff is very nice and they go out of their way to be helpful. The location is close to everything downtown and an easy walk to the Max rail. The beds were comfortable and room was spacious.

The quality and selections available for breakfast was great, from hot egg sausage muffin to cereals, fruits and juices. It was a good touch.

The feeling of security could be better. The rudeness of staff to open doors without knocking is one violation that I was leary about. There was no security staff at night and several times there was someone who would push on doors randomly to see if they can open it. It was an uncomfortable feeling of insecurity. I also didn't like that there is no person behind the front desk when you check in. Instead, you are talking to a virtual person in the display monitor and half the time the technology fails, ie. speaker is muffled and the document scanner not working. It puts it on you to complete check-in. I think that management forgot that they are in a hospitality industry. Too much reliance on technology is not an economic solution in hospitality industry.

All staff is very kind and helpful, the beds are comfortable, and you can reach anything in Boise in less than 10 minutes.

The facility is old and it seems like building management doesn’t seem to care enough to fix even a slit in a window screen (that spans across the entire window). When I told housekeeping during their check in, I was told “yeah, the building is old, there’s a lot of things wrong here” which didn’t inspire confidence. The room was also incredibly hot throughout the stay.

Breakfast needs a little help. Seem to be a problem with the juice machine but really the problem was the people didn't really care that it didn't work.
