Lisa made us feel very welcome as we arrived by bike from the Katy Trail. She explained all the amenities of our Hermann Master as well as gave us directions to sights around Hermann. Our apartment was really cute, very clean, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable night’s rest. This will now be our go to stay when riding this trail. The buffet breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. We liked that it was served at 7:00 so that we could get on our way early.

Just provide a kettle and tea/coffee in each room, it's a basic standard across most hotels world-wide. Self-check in, I would expect this in a lower star hotel not an apparent 4-star hotel.

The property itself is nice. The room was also nice. It was clean, the floors look new. The best was comfortable and clean.

The 3 biggest issues I had during my stay was one: the air conditioner in the room was messed up, it worked but it took forever to change the temperature. You had to repeatedly press the down arrow to lower the temp until it started going down, most of the time it would go up, it would also start raising the temp. all by itself it wasn’t a big enough issue to move rooms since it still cooled you just had to fight to get it to not go up to 90 lol. The second issue was how you can hear everything that goes on outside. When the cleaning crew starts their rounds around noon you can hear every noise. And the third and last issue was around 11am every day our room keys would deactivate so we constantly had to go to the front office to get them fixed

There was no DND sign for the room; when we asked front desk they said to just let them know. Even when we did housekeeping would knock at 9am waking us up (even on check out day). Was a bit annoying when we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in.

The host is very impolite and unhelpful. One of the rooms doesn't have a proper door, just a sliding door that doesn't close properly, same problem with bathrooms. The rooms are outdated and very noisy. It seems like the positive reviews on booking.com might not be genuine, as they may be paying travelers to leave good feedback.
