The owners, Roland and Ina, do everything personally. Guests are welcomed with a bottle of wine the first night. Every morning, they set out a full breakfast including coffee, fruit, cheese, yogurt, eggs, and breads. Guests can use the frig and kitchen as needed. There are a lot of restaurants and beaches close by. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and, of course, the pool and outdoor grounds are clothing-optional.”

  The bed, pillows, and bedding were extremely comfortable. We loved the separate shower/jacuzzi bathtub combo. Loved the private balcony and fireplace. It was very nice having a full size refrigerator instead of the usual mini fridge you'd usually find in other hotels. And we were happy about the privacy, no need to constantly walk past employees at the front desk every time we wanted to leave the room to go out on the town. The 2nd young lady that helped with our check in was MUCH more kind, friendly, & helpful so we ultimately decided to keep our honeymoon reservations here.

  We were quite surprised at how small, old, outdated, & cheap the televisions in the bedroom & living room were. The sofa in the living room was not very comfy. The pool was taped off with yellow caution tape so we couldn't enjoy that part of it on our honeymoon unfortunately. And the first young lady we tried checking in with was simply quite rude to us to the point we were ready to cancel our entire booking and go elsewhere. The attached restaurant was closed for a private event our entire stay and we weren't notified until after we checked in that we wouldn't be able to eat in the property.

  Absolutely beautiful! Extremely spacious room with all the amenities. One drawback- the window shades were sheer with light filtering through. Blackout shades are needed. The bar and lounge area was warm and inviting. The staff was exceptional. Access to the city was within minutes and the hotel was a short drive to Reagan Airport. Highly recommend! I wouldn’t consider staying elsewhere!

  A lot of noise at night. On second first night there was a horrible smell in the bathroom. The maintenance person came and said that they will try to give me a different room, but there was no room available. The maintenance staff try to use caulk around the toilet and spray, which maid the room very smelly. For this price I would expect better room! The next night there was no hot water, I had to wait 40 minutes to take a shower. When the water was finally hot, and I was in the shower, the maintenance staff came into the room, even thought I called and said that I’m taking a shower and colder water, and asked to inform the maintenance.

  The exterior is messed up. Roaches were in my room. The ac broke. It was a hot night. The name is still econolodge it hasn't changed to OYO yet. I got lost trying to find it.
