The staff, the staff, the staff. The check-in lady was rude and didn’t honor the breakfast included for half of our party-because I so expected half of our party to fast… Our room key didn’t work. The fire alarm went off within an hour of our arrival, the staff curtly told everyone-false alarm and didn’t apologize. The breakfast is overpriced and sub-par. The coffee was cold, there was no water, juice etc available. The warm food was cold, the portions were stingy. There were zero allergy or vegan options available-my son basically couldn’t eat anything. They charge $15 per person for breakfast (or 2 for $15 if you book in advance)—for about $2 worth of food. I had to buy a second breakfast for my 3 teenagers elsewhere. There were no to go options. The standard Holiday Inn To Go bags were not available. And they expected tipping-I rudely informed them that I’d already paid a $15 dollar tip for the breakfast included they didn’t honor. The breakfast attendant was rude and kept trying to convince us we’d gotten a good deal with the 2 for 15 voucher (the one we shouldn’t have had to purchase). She rudely commented on what my teens were or were not eating and drinking. Every family in the breakfast room was experiencing the same behavior-the family next to us was only given vouchers for one breakfast for a multiple day stay. Another family got charged for their kids (in a hotel that claims kids eat free). Other people were getting charged for drinks that are normally included in a standard Holiday Inn Breakfast. The laundry had really short hours-we needed to do emergency laundry and ended up handwashing it. Nice building, horribly run. I’ve stayed in hotels that have had serious issues (like AC that rained on you) and not complained, but the rude staff was unacceptable.

Pool was out of commission. The structure was completely torn off the building and a construction crew was working on it. That needs to be communicated very clearly up front at booking. My son was extremely disappointed.

The staff was super. My wife could not find ANY issues with the room(the room was great...she nitpicks). We just reached our next destination...NJ..and we realized she did not pack Mr. P.(. A stuffed penguin I gave her 40 years ago.)..I called and Victoria was very compassionate and took a look. She found Mr. P She will be sending him out as soon as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...your staff is outstanding..And Victoria saved the day. Thank you!! Dave & Bev Kruk
