      This apartment had all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the full kitchen - great stove, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Good mini market for supplies close by. It also had large washing machine and dryer which was really useful to us. Good aircon and lots of little extras such as nice shampoo/conditioner choices in bathroom. Even though we had to travel an hour each day to get to the tourist places in Manhattan Island we soon learned to navigate to and fro via the 87 bus and the PATH trains.

      Location was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights - bottle store across the road attracted a noisy clientele though all the other nights were much quieter.

      The parking and the room AC. Also I had a very nice and helpful room cleaning lady.

      The staff was very stiff, my first set of room keys didn't work and the front desk woman talked down to and asked I'd I knew how to use an electronic key card. Food wasn't very good and limited.

      Hot tub didn't work (main reason we booked), contacted local agent, never returned our call, so we contacted booking.com where we made reservation thru. Agent said he would contact owner and refund part of our stay, but after initial contact, crickets. Here were some of the issues: no coffee pot for coffee maker, burned out electrical strip, so tv wouldn't work, ended up donating an extra one I had in the RV. Broken shower faucet, broken door knob on front entry door, broken toilet seat in second bathroom, washer was leaking onto floor, no dish soap or dishwasher tabs, a few boards on deck were broken/rotted enough to be a safety issue, and of course the forementioned non functional hot tub. In.general, place looked like owners just want to earn a few bucks, but don't want to invest in maintenance. Hell of a 25th anniversary stay. One last thing: house was not light like advertised in online pics. Very dark.
