  we were greeted by the owner! which we were not expecting :) and shown around. It was lovely to have access to laundry and ICE for no charge. We did not have a view but the property is beautiful and so secluded that if you aren't looking for it you won't find it. Sunset from the dock was extraordinary!

  The shower facilitates were odd. It was a jetted tub with a hand held shower attachment. My husband and I enjoy a shower, we are not bath people and my husband is tall. It was difficult to shower as the hose on the attachment was short. Not awful, just odd

  The owners were so pleasant and helpful with local suggestions. Really liked the lawn area as a place to relax. Check in was a breeze

  The overhead light ( which was the main light) was somewhat harsh. Also the room layout- while there was room for 2 queen beds was a bit awkward. Need better lighting in the bathroom- perhaps a light over the mirror

  I did not get up early enough for breakfast. The location was great

  Prior to arriving I received a message from booking that said arrival was 8 December. I have confirmation for 14 June. On 12 June I called the hotel to tell them that the date from the message was incorrect. I asked them to look at the confirmation that I had made. I was told that the date could not be changed, and that there was no availability. I got hung up. On 13 June I called a friend of mine in Douglas to inform her that I was having problems with staying there, although I had a confirmation and my card had been charged. She called the hotel and found out they did have availability. Afterwards I called the hotel with that information and was told they did have availability. Had my card not already been charged I would have chosen another hotel. I told my sister that this hotel had availability. She called five minutes later and was told that they did not. She chose another hotel. This foolishness caused us to be separated.
