The place feels like a jungle castle, with tucans, monkeys, and birds hanging out in the garden, which made it feel magical. The staff were super friendly and made me feel so welcome, and I met so many amazing people there. The breakfast was really good with lots of options, and I loved chilling by the pool after exploring Rio. The location in Santa Teresa is perfect too – close to cute cafes and street art, and it feels like the real Rio. Overall, it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it felt like an experience I’ll never forget too.”

  We loved the staff, they were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Facing the forest was very relaxing and I’m sure if we tried hard enough we could’ve spotted a deer. The windows all over the cabin made for gorgeous views of the trees and the sky. My daughter really enjoyed the swings right outside our door too.

  The cabin was a bit “cozier” than I was expecting so I’ll be keeping that in mind the next time we stay. It rained during our stay and being in such a tight space made it hard to manage cleaning up/staying clean. I think we felt a little trapped too. We would’ve loved to have chairs and a table to sit at on the patio. The pool was a little disappointing due to it being heated more than expected and murky.

  The place and location is beautiful and convenient for a multitude of reasons. I love the direct shuttle to the beach.

  The rooms weren’t that clean. There were a bunch of spots in the room that was dirty and even under the sheets were like that too. The ice machine being located on selected floors wasn’t that fun either and the wait time for elevators was really annoying despite I understand there’s only two for like 30+ floors. I feel like for the volume there should be at least two more elevators given. I also wish I knew they didn’t have any parking besides valet. If I knew ahead of time I would’ve been more selective about that. There was no daily housekeeping and was told they only do that after we check out which I thought was weird. There was also no connecting phone directly to the front desk and had to use my to contact them directly and had to ask plenty of questions that I felt should be told me like, the wifi. I shouldn’t have to search or see if there was. The shuttle to the beach was amazing but I didn’t know that we had to walk a mile asking other hotel ppl where the umbrella and chairs are since it was so far out.

  The location was convenient but that was the only good thing about our stay.

  It was in an area where there was a lot of people sleeping on the roads and asking for money numerous times and people just walking past the room knocking on our door. The room was very dated and we did not have the cleanest room mold on the shower curtain and big whole in the bathroom door and the comforter had stains on it. Carpet had lots of staples in it randomly sticking out could tell wasn’t clean.

  I didn’t like that ice machine don’t work. I didn’t like that the hotel room did not come with everything. I did not like the same on the mattress. I didn’t like the dirty bathroom, the rusty tub the green stuff on the shower. The whole room was nasty.

  When I booked the pet friendly room, I asked for first floor. I didn't know it was 2 different hotels in 1 building. And the one I booked, a pet friendly hotel, started on the third floor. It was very difficult on my older dog who doesn't do stairs and doesn't like elevators.
