- “This gem is right in the heart of Megalochori at the base of the church. It was so charming and beautiful. This spot is a destination location for other travelers visiting Santorini, but it's not overly crowded...you're just walking out into a photoshoot. There's a cafe across from the smaller bedroom that plays the most beautiful live music nightly (ends at 11pm due to the noise ordinance for the city), it just made this place better. Oh and when I was getting ready in the morning I heard horses, opened the window to see horseback riders right outside, this happened every day, must be on a horse tour route. And only super small cars can come down the street here larger ones won't fit down the streets so not a heavy traffic area at all.”

  It is a quaint place. The bath was old fashion but had good hot water, nice soaps and worked well. Coffee was good and early. Breakfast was just a bite to get you going in the morning: baked muffins, snack bars and instant oatmeal packs. Plenty of hot water with variety tea throughout the day and evening. Decorations were very nice.

  Given it's age it is understandable why there is a continuous wet smell throughout the place. Hard to get rid off.

  The room, particularly the beds are comfortable. Easy check in and check out. Close walking distance to a mall for cheap eats, and outlet shopping.

  Breakfast has fewer options than the Hampton Inn used to. Potatoes on day one, no potatoes on day 2. Wish it had cut up fruit. I will likely never use Booking.com, because I way overpaid. I mean not just a little, but way too much. I was rushed into decisions, and will be more careful next time. That booking had NO REFUNDS< NO CANCELATIONS, which is nuts. Lesson learned. I dont mind a second party booking agency, but this gave me huge limits, and way too much for the price of this room. So not a happy camper.

  The pool area did not have enough seating It had Tables but only two chairs to sit around the tables at the pool. It also had tables outside but no chairs. I asked the front desk the clerk was like confused that I was asking about chairs for the tables. I had to use the chair from my room to sit at the pool to watch my grandsons swim.

  It was fairly cheap.

  The room was filthy. The floors were both greasy and sticky. The shower had hair everywhere. There were ashes on the ice bucket. I picked hairs out of the bed and off the pillows. The air conditioning was so loud and rattled on and off all night.
