Almost didn't get our requested ground floor. But she looked awhile & found one. Ferry to Mackinac Island was so close & convenient. Breakfast was good.

Looks good outside but a little dingy inside & dark. Not enough light nor sheer curtains to keep light through the window. So if you close the privacy curtains it gets even darker. Furniture seems to be from another era. The bathroom has the most lights. Wifi is terrible. Hit & miss but more miss. No electrical outlets available to charge phone except in the bathroom Pretty compact room for 2 queen beds. Toilet seat is loose & wobbly so everytime you sit on it, it moves. Pillows are terrible. Maybe being near the water, had to kill a few bugs & flying insects in the room.

The front desk worker was unfriendly. The pictures and explanation on the website led me to believe I was getting a ground floor room (handicap) and we were on 3rd floor. Towels were like sandpaper. I think for the price, a beach tag should be included. Was told room would be ready at 2, but when we arrived was told it would be 2:30. A guest let her son pee in the pool area and it ran down and under my lounge chair. (Not property's fault I know, but kept me away from pool rest of day)

Plenty of beds for my family of 5. There was a pool. There was a fire pit. The location was close to everything we wanted to visit

There is no walking access to the lake. The one living room window AC unit didn't reach the bedrooms no matter how low we set it, despite the small space so it was very hot. I felt like for the price of our stay it should have way more updates and cleanliness. (Ex. The showers were clogged, bathroom sink with no counter, no bathroom fan, all towels and wash clothes were stained. Having a couch that is not stained and nearly broken down, a fridge that doesn't have cracked drawers, a garbage disposal, a trash can that isn't broken, and at least have ac units in the bedrooms) The cottage could have been cleaner. The floors turned my kids feet black, cobwebs everywhere, and dust flew onto our things when we switched the ceilings fans circulation. Ants covered the outside seating so we couldn't actually enjoy it as much as we'd hoped. Obviously bugs are going to be outside but again, if you're going to charge as much as you do and have a designated seating area outside, the perimeter should be treated better.

Minor things was falling apart 1. The kitchen sink had a minor leak but there was a white bowl under to catch the water leak. 2. One of the beds in the smaller room wasn't stable upon first day of use. 3. The closet door in the master bedroom is not properly aligned so we left it open the entire time. 4.
