It was cute but dark light bulbs burned out in kitchen area. Unable to use the fridge had to get a cooler to keep things cold.

Could tell it is an older hotel with a hipster makeover and could be taken care of a little better (a few fixtures were broken, AC leaked a bit, picture on wall mounted crooked). Nothing that interfered with the overall comfort or function of the room but not the attention to detail that the hotel portrays online.

After checking in and getting settled, we tried to turn on the tv. No luck. I went to the front desk and Jesus was more than willing to come to my room and help. The remote was not not set on the tv and he worked on it for a while and was able to get the tv to work but the remote didn't control the volume or on and off. He said he would be back. Time passed by and I walked up to the office and he was on his device. I asked him about the remote and he said something to another co worker and they both came to the room. Finally the other worker said he would be back with another remote from the other property. He did return and it all worked between the two remotes. Thus morning at the breakfast, by 8:00 there were no more hard boiled eggs and were told there would be no more this am. I went to pour a coffee and the only sweetener available was pure sugar. The trash was overflowing by the front door while 3 staff members were in the back area. Upon returning to my room, I went to my suitcase on top of the dresser and the carpet was wet. I went to the front desk and reported the wet carpet. The guy at the front desk said his maintenance guy would be to work soon. I told him we were leaving for the day and if he could come at 9:00 that would be great. We returned to the room around 5:00 and went to the front desk to find out if the water leak was fixed and the girl at the desk said she had come on at 2:00 and Juan had not told her anything. I'm wondering how long the carpet has been wet? Not a healthy environment at all. How is this handled from here? We check out tomorrow. Very disappointed in how things on this property have been handled.

The sheets were filthy - stains that looked like lipstick. The pillows were unbelievably bad (either lumpy or flat.) We had six pillows in our room (two beds). I got three more pillows and all were the worst. A terrible night's sleep. The walls were filthy with paint chipping off. There were no cups or tissues. No clock. Not enough outlets for charging. We were gouged on the cost because we were in need of a last-minute hotel room since our flight was canceled. The photo from the room phone about sums it up - the hotel doesn't even know it is VIRGINIA BEACH and not "VERGINIA BENCH". Unreal experience - and we paid $394 for one night for all of this awesomeness (sarcasm intended).
