For the price we paid for the cabin, we expected a much nicer cabin. The cabin is in shambles. The deck is coming a part from the home and is extremely unsafe. The fire pit is completely unmaintained and weeds are knee-high. The propane barbecue is in disgusting shape, and they came and took the propane tanks. Paint is peeling off the home. There are water stains in the ceiling and along the walls on the inside of the cabin. We rented a pontoon boat for more than the cost of the cabin and the pontoon boat is in shambles and poor shape. Dirty with bird poop, webs, wasps nest, Sun rot, tears in the upholstery, stains on everything. The Pontoon had broken equipment and missing equipment and we were unable to use the trolling motor at all. We came in at the 2-hour mark, as we had rented the Pontoon for the entire day. We came in for a bathroom break and at that point the staff asked us to take the pontoon boat from us so they could use it as a tugboat to reposition the dock. Some of us stayed and went to the cabin and others went back out on the boat. At that point shortly after they had headed back out the Pontoon was rendered inoperable and dead in the water. The staff was distracted because they were already on a rescue mission for another boat rental. It was difficult to get help in the matter and eventually our oldest son was allowed to take a smaller boat out to try to help rescue. Of course this was not before the staff had told my husband to call 911 so the sheriff could come out and perform a rescue. My son was able to retrieve a few passengers and two small children, but was not able to retrieve the boat, which according to the manager was extremely unsafe and he was only in a 12-ft boat. Finally staff came and retrieved the pontoon and the remaining passengers. Meanwhile back at the cabin we discovered a strong mildew odor coming from the closet. We discovered a suitcase partially open with wet towels and somebody's dirty laundry.

There were numerous outlets that didn’t work, the outlet by the sink almost pulled out of the wall when unplugging the dryer, no place for towels in the bathroom, pool advertised but unsble to swim because the city hadn’t approved it yet.

I arrived about an hour after checkout time to find that my room had not been cleaned by house keeping from the previous guests. There was no staff on site so I called the number provided with my check in instructions and received poor service and incorrect information. Two hours after I arrived, my room was ready for check in.
