The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable.   It was a short stay, but I found the hotel to be well-equipped, comfortable, and a good location to the airport. The front desk employees were friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a mix-up in the early morning (4am) for the shuttle to the airport, as a family of 4 showed up to take it but had not signed up the day before, but they resolved the issue quickly and left on time.

  I tried to contact the hotel twice through Booking, and they never answered. I finally phoned to ask and they answered helpfully, but it would have been nice not to have had to take the extra time to call for a simple question.

  My go to place when I visit San Diego. The Bird Rock area is a hidden gem in an already beautiful (but crowded) city. It is a typical boutique hotel with old motel bones.

  The only good things about this property were the bed, the conditioner, and the night auditor.

  None of the staff, including the manager was properly trained. They offered nothing for the horrible service I received and had the nerve to tell me to pay to come back again that they would do better next time. Save your money, even the breakfast made me sick. The water smelled like chlorine....I have so many more complaints; I would just never advise you going there.

  Multiple problems. To start, tried to charge more than I had confirmed for and when I questioned told me Booking had lied to me. The room was not clean: hair in tub from before my check-in. Replaced towels and made bed, period. Left trash uncollected. Never wiped off any crumbs or such from surfaces. Not all amenities worked: when I tried to use the iron on steam it leaked ALL the water out onto board and clothing. The refrigerator leaked water onto food and puddled below onto floor at front (left to puddle all the time I was there). The floors were dirty. Just awful.
