- “This gem is right in the heart of Megalochori at the base of the church. It was so charming and beautiful. This spot is a destination location for other travelers visiting Santorini, but it's not overly crowded...you're just walking out into a photoshoot. There's a cafe across from the smaller bedroom that plays the most beautiful live music nightly (ends at 11pm due to the noise ordinance for the city), it just made this place better. Oh and when I was getting ready in the morning I heard horses, opened the window to see horseback riders right outside, this happened every day, must be on a horse tour route. And only super small cars can come down the street here larger ones won't fit down the streets so not a heavy traffic area at all.”

  First appearance room was satisfactory and what was reasonable for this historic Inn. Under normal circumstances we would have been happy. No provision for the much reported heat wave was made by switching on the AC prior to arrival.. The window AC proved unable to adequately lower the temperature much. Reporting this to the front desk, where patience was the response. 3 hours later, room temperature decidedly uncomfortable the desk clerk dismissed the thought of change of room as "hotel is full" Of that I was skeptical. At 11.30pm I made my second night reservation elsewhere, checking out early.

  Someone tried to get into our room twice. The second time I had the second lock on as they actually had master key or duplicated key. When I complained to the manager on checkout he wasn’t concerned. Whoever tried to come in didn’t identify themselves, ie security or management and left when we yelled that the room was occupied.

  Tv never was user friendly… could ever get it to work. Wasn’t a staff person at check in. Had to wait a long time. And no one answered the phone when we had issues like the tv and no hot water for 15 minutes! Took that long for hot water to reach our room ( inadequate water heaters!)

  Parking horrible and we had family of 6 and 3 cars. We could only park one vehicle and had to pay over 400 to park for the other two vehicles off site. Also, couch and throw pillows had stains on it looked like blood, curtain had stains on it, cleaner could have done a better job of cleaning. I took pics of everything. Also curtain rod bracket barely hanging and the room was 76 degrees when we got there.
