Comfy room w/ balcony, loved riverside view from main lounge areas, loved breakfasts, and kids loved ordering their own choice and LOVED the waffles.. loved private check in, door code all around.was convenient! The gentlemen in charge were helpful and friendly... They pleasantly facilitated a last minute change in plans for us with a smile... Much appreciated.

Parking is always an issue staying downtown. Valet parking is nice but a little pricey. We usually pay to park at the parking garage across the road.

From check-in until departure, the experience was terrible. I had unintentionally booked one room with one agency and three with another. I was confused because I was not aware of the first booking. However, the receptionist did not elevate me to the room I unintentionally booked. The room was the most expensive, with the most amenities, including a premium view of the harbor. Guests can only use the elevator if a staff member accompanies the guest. Not having the elevator available is very inconvenient as it is cumbersome and challenging to tote luggage up three stores in narrow hallways. I would suggest a "bell-hop" to deliver luggage and accompany guests to their rooms. The state of the rooms was a significant disappointment. They did not appear clean, with a patched carpet and an old, loud, unattractive in-room refrigerator. Despite ample space, my room lacked a table or chairs, and the bed was uncomfortable. This condition was so embarrassing that I refrained from sharing photos of the room with my family and friends. Despite the name "Enchanted Castle," nothing was 'Enchanting"' about the Hotel. The 'Enchanted' theme was not promoted in any way. I would expect to see staff dressed in period costumes and hear period-appropriate music playing in the lobby, library, dining area, bar, and hallways, but this was not the case. The restaurant did not live up to the 'Enchanted' theme. It looked more like a dining area for a retirement home or nursing facility. The ambiance was not that of the circa 1800s. The table settings' lacked linens from the 1800s, and the menu did not match the 'Enchanted' theme, with Mexican food being the prominent item. The lounge and bar were also not inviting, and the entertainment was not up to par with what I would expect. This facility is a mess.

First of all it took 4 times of running from the 11 The floor to the front desk to actually get a key that worked. The room was dirty and smelled like marijuana, no towels, no shampoo or conditioner and the most rude customer service I have ever encountered at a hotel. We left in the middle of the night because we were so frustrated!
