- “This gem is right in the heart of Megalochori at the base of the church. It was so charming and beautiful. This spot is a destination location for other travelers visiting Santorini, but it's not overly crowded...you're just walking out into a photoshoot. There's a cafe across from the smaller bedroom that plays the most beautiful live music nightly (ends at 11pm due to the noise ordinance for the city), it just made this place better. Oh and when I was getting ready in the morning I heard horses, opened the window to see horseback riders right outside, this happened every day, must be on a horse tour route. And only super small cars can come down the street here larger ones won't fit down the streets so not a heavy traffic area at all.”

  Here we go: 1) parking was blocked in front of our unit by gravel heaps, and all other parking spaces was taken, so we hope where we made a spot was ok 2) ac unit hangs out of window with openings on either side, exposing us not just to cold outside air, but was also a safety concern. The bathroom window would also not close completely or lock. 3) we had no towels—when they were delivered the next morning, there was no acknowledgment of the other issues we reported on the voicemail (company #). 4) we couldn’t get the on wall climate instrument to work nor the heated floors, the latter of which sometimes displays a concerning error message about grounding. The only temperature control that worked was a movable space heater, which I didn’t feel comfortably leaving on all night. Since we had outside air coming through the window with the non-functioning ac, I was freezing all night long. 5) no one at either of the numbers on the check-in email answered our calls and the voicemail was full for the on-site number. At almost 11pm and in our pajamas, we were not going to go search around for the house where onsite management is. 6) $50 cleaning fee 7) there was an iron…but no hairdryer 8) the remodel choices were great (nice floors, light fixtures, bathroom), but functionality was very poor. For $210~ dollars, these deficiencies and a COMPLETE lack of acknowledgment made this an unacceptable stay. It made me feel like the reviews I read were fake.

  Paid parking was ok. The rooms are really basic. Lot of road noice and people banging doors in the middle of night. No A/C control in the room. If it gets hot and you wake up at night, you can’t just lower the temperature and go back to sleep. Better get a room in close by hotels then paying similar amount in this motel ($250 a night). Not going back for sure. Not worth the money they charged for room and parking.
