- “This gem is right in the heart of Megalochori at the base of the church. It was so charming and beautiful. This spot is a destination location for other travelers visiting Santorini, but it's not overly crowded...you're just walking out into a photoshoot. There's a cafe across from the smaller bedroom that plays the most beautiful live music nightly (ends at 11pm due to the noise ordinance for the city), it just made this place better. Oh and when I was getting ready in the morning I heard horses, opened the window to see horseback riders right outside, this happened every day, must be on a horse tour route. And only super small cars can come down the street here larger ones won't fit down the streets so not a heavy traffic area at all.”

  The rooms were nice and very spacious. The beds were a little hard for me, but everyone else enjoyed them. There is a large soaking tub in the master bath and a shower with a fantastic rain fall shower head. There is plenty of floor space for extra blow-up mattresses. The resort is in a perfect, beautiful location. The condo was very nice and clean (room 2902). I decorated the condo for my daughter's birthday brunch. However, we will never return to Tidewater. Waiting 30 minutes on an elevator every time we left the room absolutely ruined our time. Myself and my mother have mobility issues, and we were trapped in the condo most of our stay. I only left the room twice, which was very disappointing because I LOVE the beach and the ocean. We were on the 29th floor, so the stairs were not an option for us. The condo owners have no control over the elevators. They are maintained by Tidewater. The staff was friendly and helpful.

  It is a long walk to the parking garage if you are on either end of the resort. Again, it was difficult as someone with mobility issues. There were times it took us 55 minutes just to get to our car due to the long walk, and the LONG waits at the elevators. The resort is updated and looks very nice. Beautiful views from every room, but not worth the difficulty of getting around due to the elevators. Everyone we talked to said they would never be back due to the elevators. Everyone was extremely disappointed and also felt the elevators alone ruined their vacation. We will settle for an older hotel with just a few floors next time. This is our second time staying at Tidewater and both times we're disappointing.

  I love how friend the staff were. The room was clean and smelled clean. Location was good to the area we were going to NRG stadium. We got there quickly with little traffic at 5pm.

  My only thing I dislike was the bed frame it was made from steel and made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Pillows were worn out. Other thing was the side entrance access were always open, you could enter without a badge.

  This place offers rooms attached to their main house. The AC is also connected, you have no control of the temp., also cooking smells come into your room from owners house. You never see the people that you checkin with. They send door code to email. When we arrived, we had no cell phone service, there was no one to speak to, only a phone number on the wall. When you have no cell service, how do you call or get email. We had been driving all day. You need to warn people of this on the booking .com site so that they understand that this is not a normal hotel/motel.
