- “This was my first time visiting Japan and have heard people recommend a ryokan+onsen experience, especially in Hakone. I'm so glad I did it here! I came with my mom and brother and we stayed in a Japanese style room and opted for the public onsen, which we used at night after dinner. There were probably only 5-6 women in there at the time, not crowded or busy. I wasn't expecting much, but the dinner and breakfast buffet were a pleasant experience, especially since we didn't feel like going out of our way to find a good food place in Hakone. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel as well and the people helping us at the front desk offer great service and spoke English well, which made our experience so easy. As a budget traveler, I was a little nervous to spend $350 for a night here, but it was worth the money and experience. (And of course, everything was clean, functional, etc. Just assume the bare minimums are easily covered).”

Owner made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Owner took the time to ask about our plans and make sure we knew how to get where we wanted to go and made a good recommendation for a traditional polish meal within walking distance. We had a nice breakfast with a variety of options including yogurt, breads and spreads, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, vegetables and boiled eggs. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. The Inn is charming. We were in the area to watch a bike race. We were able to walk to and from the gondola base.”

  Listen, this is a two-star hotel. I've stayed here two or three times, usually when my preferred hotel is too expensive or full. But this place is fine. It's safe. The staff is solid. There's breakfast, but I don't partake. There are outlets. The bed is clean and comfortable. The refrigerator works and is clean. There are utensils/plates available upon request for free. There are basic amenities like soap, coffee, and clean towels. You don't stay at the Extended stay for luxury, you stay there for logistics.

  No ice machine, but you have a freezer. It's just inconvenient if you arrive and want some ice. Limited amenities, but again, that's not why you stay here.

  Great location and easy to get to. Rooms were very comfortable and surprisingly quiet for all the activities just outside. Restaurants were good and the staff was excellent. Casino floor very clean and had a great selection of slots and table games, even won some. Great stay.

  Only draw back was the use of the pool is across the street in the Binion, but they have a change room there and the pool is on the rooftop. Great views and the pool staff was friendly and helpful.

  The breakfast was great! The dark haired girl at the front desk was very helpful. We were there for the Boardwalk Rock concert and she helped us out by telling us the best way to get there and the cheapest. Everything was very clean.

  I didn't like that we had to pay $25 to park at the hotel. I felt that was an added charge they snuck in there, when we arrived at the hotel. I never even heard of that before.

  Parking is easy and close to where my husband's family is. It's conveniently located right off the 17 and it's nice to be able to be on the 1st floor.

  It's not that I didn't like it, I was disappointed because I had left some items in the cabin. I asked them to ship them to me at my expense, and they wouldn't do it. They said they don't ship. I wasn't driving 4 hours to get them back.
