  • Casa Nemo Beach Resort & Spa

    - “Casa Nemo is owned by an Acehnese woman who prioritizes cultivating beautiful experiences and running an ethical, eco-friendly business. The entire resort is beautifully manicured with fruit trees and flowers everywhere. Everything here is done with intention and love. The staff take great pride in their work. Aceh Heritage Village: Right when you walk in, you'll see two beautifully restored historic Acehnese houses featuring hand carved and painted decorations. This is totally unique on the island, and it's a must-see. Sometimes there are events there, so check with the resort to see about the schedule. The restaurant: The restaurant is stunning with an inviting porch that reveals the ocean and the lush landscape. The food is delightful with a mix of Indonesian and Western options. I am gluten free with a sensitive stomach. The restaurant always accommodates my dietary restrictions, and I always feel good after I eat there! If you will be staying awhile, you can even bring your own gluten free flour, and they will prepare something special for you. I love the ayam tangkap (an Acehnese specialty that you can't find many places on the island) and tom yum. The rooms: Every bungalow is done in the traditional Acehnese style with wooden carved decorations. My bungalow had a porch with a hammock which was the perfect place to relax while watching the ocean and listening to the sounds of nature. The bed was comfortable. The shower had hot water and it was easy to control the temperature, which cannot be said of many showers on the island. There was also a fridge and water dispenser in the room including hot water and china cups. The spa: I have had some of the best massages of my life at the spa here. My favorite is the Javanese. Masseuses are expertly trained and accommodating with any issues you may have. Friends of mine have had waxing done with excellent results. The beach: Great for lounging and a gentle swim.”

  • Villa Paradiso

    - “Wonderful place with helpful staff. The breakfast outside was amazing.”

  • Hotel Green Plaza Hakone

    - “This was my first time visiting Japan and have heard people recommend a ryokan+onsen experience, especially in Hakone. I'm so glad I did it here! I came with my mom and brother and we stayed in a Japanese style room and opted for the public onsen, which we used at night after dinner. There were probably only 5-6 women in there at the time, not crowded or busy. I wasn't expecting much, but the dinner and breakfast buffet were a pleasant experience, especially since we didn't feel like going out of our way to find a good food place in Hakone. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel as well and the people helping us at the front desk offer great service and spoke English well, which made our experience so easy. As a budget traveler, I was a little nervous to spend $350 for a night here, but it was worth the money and experience. (And of course, everything was clean, functional, etc. Just assume the bare minimums are easily covered).”

  • JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur

    - “I honestly enjoyed everything! The location is perfect, staff were super friendly and helpful, check-in was smooth, and the whole vibe of the hotel was relaxing. Also loved that it’s connected to a mall – made everything super convenient.”

  • Hotel en Stadscafé de Dam l Hotel Monnickendam

    - “Very roomy bartender and cook are the best”

  • Sasanka Szczyrk przy Gondoli

    - “Good communication before we arrived- answering emails with questions and communicating arrival information. We were met on arrival and shown around. Owner made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Owner took the time to ask about our plans and make sure we knew how to get where we wanted to go and made a good recommendation for a traditional polish meal within walking distance. We had a nice breakfast with a variety of options including yogurt, breads and spreads, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, vegetables and boiled eggs. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. The Inn is charming. We were in the area to watch a bike race. We were able to walk to and from the gondola base.”

  • Casa de São Cucufate - Casa de Campo

    - “Amazing service, super friendly staff, and Villa de Frades is great destination in general, the weather, food, everything.”

  • AMAKS Russia Hotel

    - “It was not our first experience of AMAKS Rossiya, but this time everything was exceptional: friendly and helpful staff, perfect location, big fully renovated room (family studio, river view, balcony), exceptional cleanliness, very tasty breakfast, small patio inside the hotel and many other nice things”

  • Oceanfront Beach Resort - SHA Extra Plus

    - “Honestly the best ever hotel to stay in thailand, Fascinating view of the infinity pool, very friendly staff and very responsive, breakfast was more like a lunch with chicken and rice and various normal breakfast things. I stayed in a room with partial sea view but at last i was seeing the ocean very very clear like a front facing room.”

Location is the only thing good about this hotel. Many nearby places.

    • Negative section of review

The hotel was not very clean. The hallways were like a maze. The room was 80 degrees with no working AC, shared by many guests we encountered during our stay also. The hotel is very over priced, and any amenity they offer, they charge for.

It was close to the highway and easy to book last minute.

    • Negative section of review

There was mouse poop in the bed that my son was supposed to sleep in and he opted to sleep on the office chairs and ottomans which caused him back and hip pain. The bathroom mirror was broken and the carpet was stained. When we went to the pool the ceiling was peeling off and the floor was obviously very dirty. In the morning at check out when I told the staff there was obviously a mouse in the room they didn't seem to care or be surprised. I wouldn't have stayed here and certainly wouldn't have paid $150 to stay here. Also the card the deposit was supposed to be on was never charged the $50 deposit as they said but they did attempt to take 5 $2.69 charges even tho we didn't use anything in the hotel to charge us. They did return the charges at least. Overall I will never be back and I will tell everyone I know who travels to stay far away from this hotel and the entire chain. It's incredibly clear they do not care about cleanliness, customer service, or correcting an obvious issue. I have never felt so gross after a hotel stay in my life. If I could get them to issue a refund that would be great but staff again didn't seem surprised or concerned with any issues.

I liked the proximity to the beach.

    • Negative section of review

The proximity and noise from PCH, especially on weekends (Saturday night), means constant Harleys, noisy cars, revving their engines and being nuisances. The fact that there is no one on staff between 10pm and 7am means you're on your own if you need anything during those hours. There's no reception phone in the room so you need to use your cell and the hotel's phone is often busy and directs you to a option menu (very annoying when you have a quick / simple question). The prices are supposedly competitive for LB but really, the view is not that great, it's removed from the ocean by a row of houses (one was under construction) and there is no view of the coast per se, just the ocean (better than nothing but nothing stunning)... This may seem very critical but frankly, I feel the noise, lack of services, average view don't justify the price. I probably could have had better accommodations on the East side of PCH for the same price with better service and less noise. On the plus side, the beach is 2 mn away down a flight of stairs (public access).
