They gave me a late checkout of 4 pm without me asking for it. This is a big deal. I am a returning customer for Intercontinental and I stayed for a week so I liked that they did this for me and I am likely to recommend and stay at this hotel for years to come. All these little things make a lot of difference and I hope other hotels understand this and take proactive steps for their customers. It made me enjoy the last day morning much better.

The location served my purposes. The room was clean enough and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice, offered a variety of dishes from fresh waffles, to bagels and cereal. But the dining area was a bit warm, perhaps due to the traffic. Wasn't comfortable enough to sit and eat in the designated lounge. Suggestion: add more fruit to the menu for those watching their weight :),

Customer service and staff. Prior to me checking in, I called to confirm the hotel's address. It was during this call, I was told that booking.com didnt update my reservation date. I told her that I had the email confirmation that proves the reservation was updated and offered to provide, but she quickly dismissed me but stated she would make the change. Not sure how she was able to do this, as any changes needing to be made to a reservation, are either to be made by contacting the booking agency or visiting their website. I had originally reserved the room for 05/10/2024 but had to change it to the 9th. When I visited the HOTELS web page to try and make the change the day before, THE CHANGE COULD NOT BE MADE! I had to contact booking.com for them to do it. So not sure how she so called "updated the reservation" as changes can't be made on the day of CHECK IN. They HAVE to be made via the booking agency you reserved the room with. I almost feel as though she was confused about the change, and rather she acknowledge that the correction had indeed been made, or allowed me to give her the confirmation number for the change, she disregarded me like I was wrong. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the most unfriendliest front desk clerk. I asked if I could park by the gate, and the response given was "You can't park there". Just dry and unhelpful. During the payment transaction, I noticed that the charge I was being billed for the room, was FAR more than the booked amount, per my reservation confirmation. I offered to provide the reservation number as not to be charged the incorrect amount but was again dismissed. She stated that booking.com hadn't updated that change and commenced to charging my card, the higher amount. I've stayed in quite a few hotels, and the clerks I've dealt with would CALL the booking agency on my behalf and sort out any discrepancies, before MY CARD WAS EVER CHARGED.

Spinnaker is right on the boardwalk. Conveniently close to all the tourist convenience but far enough away from the amusement parks. Can catch sunrise and sunset. Has off street parking, and ice machine and a local restaurant near it that has the best food near it.

The beds were okay, not the best but not the worst either. It's a tight fit getting in the doorway when you open the door to the room. Lighting isn't the best either and not enought outlets in the room or not all the outlets worked to charge phones 4 adults.

The sink faucet in room was very loose. There was only a half roll of toilet paper available. There was no phone book, or information about local amenities. Pool was closed early.
