It was a nice and clean room. Coffee maker in the room and also an espresso machine in the lobby. Very comfortable bed.

The pullout door for the bathroom was pretty old. It was heavy and inconvenient to have to pull it out and back in, each time we wanted privacy for the bathroom. Very noisy too. They should update those bathroom doors. They stated parking for a fee but the parking lot was full when we checked in. Very inconvenient to have to search for parking elsewhere. Also, a lot homeless as soon as you step out of hotel. Made it a bit weary to walk in the area. Also, the lady at front desk charged my credit card twice and I didn't notice until 3 days after I checked out. I now must wait up to 30 days for refund.

there was no coffee/tea-maker in the room, I would have expected this regarding the price. The parking situation is a real problem, there is valet parking, but not enough. We arrived with a late flight, so the parking was not available and it took us 1 hour to find a spot to park the rented car.

I didn’t like that they didn’t have bell serve and I had to get my own cart, which ended up running into the side of my car and denting it. Had help been available my car wouldn’t be dented right now

There was no Wi-Fi in the lodge, even though they said they had it, and there was no cell service either. In the morning, they ran out of coffee. More than half of the park was closed (May 2024), and the Metate room (restaurant) ran out of food, too. You need to make a reservation to see Cliff House or Balcony House on Reservations.gov exactly two weeks in advance at exactly 10 am (to see the pueblos up close). I wish they would require large groups to make prior arrangements so they don't run out of food or coffee for the rest of us. The bathroom is very, very small. If you are skinny, fine. But for the rest of us, we will struggle.

The first thing I noticed was the overbearing smell of Pine-Sol stained carpets, which need to be vacuumed up under the bed. stained bedspread, stained lampshades, torn bedskirt, torn curtains, and I have no idea what was all over. Our refrigerator door microwave was badly rusted on the inside.

Stayed at Doubletree for 3-4 nights. There’s loud 7am protests for a workers contract and I wasn’t able to sleep at all. Some car noise from the highway at night and during the day, which can wake you up pretty easily. There are aggressive homeless people around the outside streets that are next to the hotel and will follow you around, my suggestion is to be alert and careful. Overall, it’s a beautiful and amazing hotel, but these are the issues it has.
