destination reviews from real travelers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

    - “It is within walking distance to every area of Stratford. The owner was very accommodating and even fed us a bite when we arrived late from the theatre since there were minimum options and we were tired. Bill offers a wonderful breakfast with choices that he cooks fresh based on your time schedule. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.”

  • Ktima Fabiatos

    - “We liked everything about our stay”

  • Villa Mansica by BaliSuperHost

    - “We had a great time here. Perfect location, close to the ‘center’ (2-3 min) but far enough to stay out of the chaos. The villa has a beautiful design, it’s clean, well maintained, just like in the photos, and the garden is huge and lush, offering complete privacy. There were some constructions nearby but we couldn’t really hear or see it once inside of the gate. You can’t go anywhere in Bali without being within 100m of a construction anyway. Oh and we could even see the ocean from the sunset terrace. The host was super helpful, everything went smoothly. Looking forward to coming back next year!”

  • Villa Paradiso

    - “Wonderful place with helpful staff. The breakfast outside was amazing.”

  • MEANDER Osaka

  • BBHomes at Casa Residency KL

    - “Everything was excellent”

  • Maison ELLE Amsterdam

    - “Extremely comfortable beds and a lovely room on the lower floor with direct access to a small patio. Generous room size and very good bathroom and shower. We also loved that it was right next to the park and neighborhoods which we wouldn’t have explored if we stayed smack in the center.”

    - “Location was perfect”

  • Chalet D´Ávila Guest House

    - “really lovely breakfast. large range of products, and tasty ,too”

I was impressed by the bathroom layout. Plenty of hooks for towels and for hanging a toiletry bag. I seldom see this in any hotels regardless of the price. Also plenty of hooks in the entryway for jackets, purse, etc. Very well thought out. Also more than adequate charging outlets. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were most accommodating and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The shuttle drivers were professional and genuinely friendly, and engaged in conversation easily. They got me to the convention center and back promptly and made every trip a pleasure.

Using refillable soap and shampoo dispensers is a good first step toward sustainability, but I always cringe when I see those insidious coffee pods and other single use plastics. There are better ways to provide coffee that are as easy and more environmentally conscious. The property provided breakfast, but the dining facility was not open for lunch or dinner. Perhaps this was only temporary, but the dust on unused bar fixtures and menus suggested that it has not been open for some time. My lunches and dinners were at eateries next to the convention center, but I can imagine that not having an on-site restaurant would be a problem for many guests.

Historic property with many enjoyable details. Bed was great. AC worked well. Privacy was very good. Design of unit (Jr. King Suite) was spacious, well laid out. Nice location across from Millennium Park. Drawing Room was both a fun place to dine or hang out.

The one TV that faced bed did not allow for one person to sleep while another person watched TV from either the living or the dining area.

Nice king suite with private balcony, quiet rooms (we never heard our neighbors unless it was on the front walkway during the day or a door occasionally. Different pool options and a nice walk to the beach.

It had plenty of space for us to each have our own room, which was really nice. A table big enough to pay games on etc. Fun outside games like ladder ball and corn hole were a nice surprise.

The dishwasher kept getting stuck, and it was hard to open. Then it was sooo hot when we got there with no info on how to use a swamp cooler, the rooms didn't cool down much, so luckily they had fans, which helped, but only 2 worked. Sleeping with our door open helped chill the rooms, but then privacy was lacking and by morning it was freezing ha ha. Overall, it was great.

Staff were pleasant, except for one awkward interaction. The social area had a nice fireplace (that was clearly popular). The views from the restaurant and porch were nice.

The bathroom was very small. The bed creaked every time I moved, even just to move my arm or leg a slight distance. The bed was also not comfortable aside from the creaking. It was cold in the town due to change of weather, and the main hall fireplace was lit, but the rooms were not heated and did not appear to have a working radiator or heating vent. So, for the price, it was not worth it despite the nice location and appearance of the lodge.
