      We were at Welcome Inn in Eagle Pass, Texas to view the Total Solar Eclipse on 4/8/2024. The staff were very "Texas Friendly" (their term) and gave us good info of local sightseeing. We had a wonderful visit with a prime view of the eclipse.

      The breakfast at the restaurant, the staff working the breakfast shift. The take out menu offered at the Deli. Plenty of parking.

      First night there were some noisy quest next to our room. Unsupervised kids chasing the baby ducklings in the courtyard. Restaurant not open for dinner on Sunday thru Wednesday. Elevators are to small.

      The hot tub. The proximity to Needles, Canyonlands.

      Way overpriced. First room was terribly stinky from carpet cleaning not thoroughly drying. (We did get another room.) Beds very uncomfortable. Bedding and linens and pillows need to be upgraded for that much money a night. Breakfast is mediocre at best. Again, needs to be upgraded for that much money a night. More attention to detail in cleaning needs to be given.

      We didn’t have any cold water. Shower, bath sink and lobby sink had scorching hot water only. The restaurant took a long time for our waitress to get our orders.
