Good hot water at all times. The linen and towels were clean. The plus point is that on my request they gave me an adjoining room at no extra cost as I had two young teenage daughters. The room was spacious. The pool was clean. The Jomtien bus station was just next door. There were great eatery places around like Frasers just at the entrance of The Chateau, we enjoyed the food at Frasers. There was a supermarket closeby. We loved our stay that we extended for another 2 days and it was at a great price. Only drawback the bed was a lil hard and uncomfortable but rest everything was lovely. Looking forward to stay here again.”

  Maggie and Violet were excellent!! Taking turns at Hostess and Chef, they both did a fantastic job!! The inn was very nice, very picturesque, and located a short walk from downtown Black Mountain.

  Like any older home, the hot water took a while to get hot, and the AC seemed to struggle a bit. Nothing too serious - we very much enjoyed our stay!!

  Richard Hougen is turning in his grave. The dinner food was atrocious. The house specialty fritters tasted like salt and Sysco truck quality processed ham salad. No pimento at all. Hamburger had the off taste of beef that is old and/or freezer burnt. Fast food style fries. The only thing that is "fine dining" is the prices. I am 75 and have eaten here with family and friends over the decades. Special occasions. The plummet in the restaurant is alarming. As fatr as room charming to look at - but mattress and pillows were hard and uncomfortable, shower water was not hot enough, and you couldn't control the heat/cool thermostat! Very clear that bean counters are making the decisions for corporate manager.

  The web site said good breakfast only had a few frozen muffins and not enough for everyone. They give you a coupon to buy breakfast at a place they own 90.00 for 4 . The toilet plugged they never sent anyone. The internet didn’t work. Wasn’t clean I got scabbies from the bed .

  The front desk staff was somewhat un-profesdional.. There was no cash option for payment. I don't like using credit cards, i don't want to pay interest on a 20hr hotel stay.
