The property was beautiful, the plunge pool just for our group was wonderful! Ivo, Faride and Nico were so nice and helpful! It’s on the south end of the strip but our group still walked home from dinner most nights and it was fine.

f I had to pick one word to describe the Cabanas at Tulum, it would be "remarkable." My now wife and I went to The Cabanas for our honeymoon and it was virtually perfect in every way. Literally from the first moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, warm, and courteous. They offered a cocktail that was delicious and refreshing. I especially appreciated that they had a mocktail ready for me as I don't drink alcohol very often.
The vibe was relaxed yet professional and thoughtful. For example, we were able to get great room service from the restaurants on the premises. Frescoes was the more casual option, but Ziggy's was the real deal. Literally everything that we tried on the Ziggy's menu that we had for any meal at any hour was simply delicious. This ranged from grilled octopus to fresh fruit with yogurt to desserts and more. We did not get sick from the food at all and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. The restaurants themselves were also about 100 feet from the ocean so the breeze was refreshing and the views were stunning.
Our room included a stunning view of the ocean itself. The room was comfortable with an air conditioner and wi-fi. Although it didn't include a television, honestly, we didn't miss it. We just used our laptop to stream. The room also included our own balcony with a super comfortable hammock and our own private hot tub. There was plenty of bottled water for brushing our teeth.
The beach area had its own comfy seats and couches. The ocean was simply perfect. Clear water, great temperature, smooth surf. There was also a wonderfully refreshing pool on the grounds.
In addition to all of the above, there was also a spa. We did the complimentary aqua therapy. It was refreshing - the cold pool was very invigorating.
Oh, and the service. The SERVICE!!! Everyone was so friendly and thoughtful!! If an option wasn't available, we were informed immediately and presented with alternatives.

It was a great time of year, the beach was white sand, turquoise water. If you want to party you can go to noisy places but if you want to just relax, you can do that too. We went to Amansala's beach club and it was fantastic atmosphere, food and service.

There is no other place like Tulum or the caribbean.
There is no other place like Tulum or the caribbean. Coming from the Barcelona beach experience which is crowded and to go to a real beach in nature you have to travel at least 2 hours from the city, I would say that I did miss the nature, warmth and magic of my native Mexico. The smell of the actual sea in nature, the fresh coconut water everywhere, the best food and the turquoise sea like no other.

Tulum is a nice place but if off course full of hotels and tourist attractions, which makes it for me a maximum of 2-3 days.
Great food, awesome locals! A bit of a pity that the hotels have claimed most of the beach areas so you'll need to pay to get access to the ocean.

We went in hurricane season (June) so expect lots of wind, rain and power cuts if not in a huge resort. Taxis are ridiculously expensive and it is a total tourist trap. Don’t eat street food. Parts of the beach are inaccessible unless you pay extortionate prices.
Humidity is difficult to handle

The services provided by Mr.Guillermo, the Full time staff in Maison Hotel was excellent. He is always at your service any time. Guillermo also guided us through the Travel plans and transportation options.
Nice spacious and clean rooms which are a decent price compared to many of the luxury hotels in Tulum (although the “beach view” rooms do not really have a view of the beach)
Delicious food in the restaurant which is a very good price compared to most restaurants nearby.
Excellent service from all the staff, particularly Jasmin in the restaurant who always had a smile on her face. And Alejandra and David in reception were always happy to help out with whatever you need.
Ideal location right on the beach
Amazing beach club, amazing pool, amazing staff, amazing food!! We are so glad we stayed here, and after walking along the beach and looking at other resorts, we wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else along Tulum Beach. While you do have to walk 20-30 mins to the more popular restaurants, the hotel has a great rooftop bar, two gorgeous pool areas and a lush restaurant for the times you don’t want to make the trip into the more central part of the Tulum Beach village.
They took great care of us at the hotel. Every day fresh breakfast on the terrace of our room served by Timo, who was super friendly to us. Also our room was cleaned daily, which was very useful due to the sand all around. We enjoyed a lot the pool and the food location on the entrance of the busy road at Tulum Beach. So not too much trafic jams for us. Great place!
We absolutely loved everything! The facilities with jungle ambience, the private cenote with beach club, the spacious well equipped room, the caring service. This hotel is the perfect gateway from busy Tulum
