Please read thoroughly before reserving this hotel. While the location boasts a beautiful seaside area, our experience at this hotel establishment was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, the staff seemed friendly, and the offer of boats and paddle usage in the sea was enticing. However, our adventure quickly turned disastrous.
During our boat excursion, we were met with unexpected weather conditions, and a massive wave capsized our boat, leaving us stranded in the tumultuous sea. Despite wearing life jackets, we were left to fend for ourselves for over an hour, battling treacherous waves with no assistance in sight. When we finally reached the shore, the manager's primary concern was the missing paddle, rather than our well-being. To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to charge $83 for a replacement paddle, which I later found online for $30 on Amazon.
Furthermore, the on-site restaurant offered overpriced, low-quality food, forcing us to venture into the city for every meal. The road leading to the hotel was unpaved, adding to the overall discomfort of our stay.
In conclusion, this establishment prioritizes material possessions over guest safety and satisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. Our traumatic experience serves as a warning to anyone considering a stay at this negligent and disappointing hotel.
This Eco-friendly and charming hotel is set on the beach, just 3.7 mi south of the Tulum Beach road. It features beautiful decorated bungalows offering stunning sea views.

Tulum is a nice place to visit. But very expensive.
Tulum is a nice place to visit. But very expensive. Taxi’s are costly. Food and drinks expensive on beach side but a little cheaper in town. Because it is a jungle there are a lot of mosquitos. Depending on what type of vacation you want Tulum has something for everyone. Just bring lots of money.

A trip to Tulum just got much easier with direct flights from the US to the new Tulum International Airport. Then, the best and most affordable way into town is the ADO bus. Get the app and buy a ticket in advance and you'll be sure to have a seat. From the pueblo of Tulum, you'll need to take a taxi to the hotel (about 4.5 miles). The hotel has rental bikes you can take into town or to the Tulum ruins. Otherwise you can just chill at the hotel. There are also a slew of tours you can go on and the hotel staff can help you pick the ones that you are most interested in. Complimentary breakfast each day and decent food for lunch and dinner. Full service bar as well. We would definitely return to Diamante K for another relaxing stay in the future.

Tulum is not at all bad, they are lots of cenotes to visit & swim in nearby, the beaches are cool the (free ones), but better on the paid side. The food downtown Tulum ,especially the taco stalls and seafood restaurants are excellent.Make sure you have cash on hand. Most spot dont take credit cards. The beach zone is not really pedestrian Friendly, but still lots of restaurants, shops & beach clubs,. Also do your research & the taxis are here to get your $$$$ kinda over price ,also alway haggle the price down.Over all it was a great escape.

Swimming in warm, clear water that is usually swimmable or floatable on most days for most swimmers is delightful. Sea bird watching is always very rewarding while on the beach. And, the food is sensational.

Beaches are spectacular, we rented e bikes which were a godsend as we were staying outside the beach area. The military presence was a bit intimidating and Tulum town is nothing special. I probably wouldn't go back and we were sorry that we didn't spend half our time in Playa del Carmen just for a change of scenery. We liked the beach bar Planca.

The beach is beautiful, Santa Fe is free of beach bars so you only pay the £2 or so to get onto the beach not the beach cafe lot. Not allowed plastic bottles on the beach so will be charged £5 for a can of water once there if you don’t take a reusable bottle! . Cenotes are beautifull and all different so worth visiting a few. The ruins are great, arrive early though it gets hot and super busy.
The ADO coaches are great value to get from the airport and around generally (to Valladolid, Bacalar). You can use busbud app to arrange before or get off the plane and head for the ADO shopfront in the airport.
Pay for everything in cash or you’ll get scammed - everyone I spoke to had this happen at least once. They say your card hasn’t gone through and keep charging you; this is beach bars, cafes, shops and taxis. Rent a bike or get a bus as taxis aren’t regulated and ridiculously expensive!
It felt very safe and is a lovely place, shame tourists are so openly scammed cause it does make you wary of returning! Local people are so lovely and friendly, not everyone speaks English but I think that’s great! Overall amazing place highly recommend :)
The hotel is unique and very authentic, make you feel the real Tulum, Mexico vibe. Its make you feel connected with the nature. From our rooms every morning we could see the wild life and very interesting species. The bottle of water in the room was refilled upon request. Staying in the hotel, allows us having free access to Orchid Beach House. Both Jungle and Beach Restaurants were good, we had couple of meals and cocktails. Very quite and romantic. The hotel was providing repellent in each of the rooms.
SCAM! Couldn’t tell you, because it did not exist. We were told the guy who booked it no longer works here and we’re asked to cancel. We will be fighting all charges. This is complete bullshit. We had to find a last minute hotel in Tulum Mexico at 9 pm with all of our luggage. I will tell anyone and everyone I know to never ever go here. I will be searching this location on other sites to provide this information as well. We are furious and want our money back now!
The best place ever at Tulum.
The service is excellent. The staff are very friendly and humble, unlike many other fancy hotels at the hotel zone of Cancun. They always do their best to give you the best experience.
The free breakfast buffet is awesome, too many items. The hot pool is too great.
You will have the whole kitchen in your room too which surprised me most. You have ceramic plates, forks, knifes, spoons, egg beaters, glasses, mugs and so on!
Tropicalito a great surprise! Modern quiet rooms with fridge bar and private balcony, air-con and trendy decoration, swimming pool, common kitchen and access to the beach, on a nice location on the northern part of the Zona Hotelera, it is definitely a good choice and great value for money. The staff - Luis, Ivo, Dante and Enrique - is super friendly, always willing to help, a completely different attitude than the other places we saw in Tulum.
Beautiful, peaceful boutique hotel near some of the best cafes and restaurants in Tulum. The service is brilliant and the staff went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable and provide lots of great recommendations. The room was huge and the whole vibe is very chilled and tranquil. We extended our stay by two nights! Would certainly stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay
This hotel was perfect! About 10 min taxi drive from the hotel zone of Tulum. The food is amazing, the pool area was awesome. The cafe Antoinette outside the hotel was good. It is located around a lot of restaurants. It’s not loud and the staff is GREAT! They are all nice and helpful. The room is cute too! I have no complaints and I’ll be back for sure.
Thank you for such a great stay
Chilled boutique hotel out of town but that wasn’t a problem! It is located in an area that is full of super cool bars and restaurants (less so touristy). One day, we hired bikes to get to tulum temple & the beach and another day, we hired a moped to get a cenote. The vibe and the interior were the top things about the hotel
The breakfast was amazing very organic and fresh. The location is okay a little bit far from Tulum,s hotel zone where most of the sightseeing was. It was okay since we had a rental car. Overall. I loved the aura of the hotel. It is great for a disconnect and very relaxing and peaceful. Will definitely visit Una vida again.
The hotel area within the national park is well maintained, the restaurant offers good quality for an acceptable price (considering the time and effort to drive into Tulum centre where you might find the same quality for half of the price), the beach area is good for relaxing although not for an easy swim - too many rocks.
This hotel is definitely going for the rustic beach posada style. The room was fairly clean and beds were fairly comfortable. The location is okay as well, right on Punta Piedra beach which has public access. But It is in the beginning of Tulum's hotel zone which about 25-30 minutes walk from Tulum's prime beach area.
I really hate writing reviews but..... this is worth it. I travel all over the world in search for beautiful boutique hotels! I highly recommend staying here, and do your self a favor and just stay here. Absolutely the best part of Tulum, and when you book somewhere else you will remember I told you so! 🎤drop
The hotel was very nice, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. The only thing that made our evening a little uncomfortable were the mosquitoes, but that's something to be reckoned with in Mexico. The price was higher, but everything is expensive in Tulum and our stay was very nice.
We had the most amazing stay at La Valise. The hotel was beautiful, everything was so well-organized and peaceful. so far it was the best hotel in Mexico.
Perfect for a honeymoon getaway, lovely beach, amazing and welcoming staff members who helped us at every moment.
Book it and dont think twice!
The hotel is small but you fell like is 5 stars boutique hotel. Stuff is helpful, swimming pool is very nice, not huge but enough to cool down. Breakfast are on the roof, very cool views. Tulum is under constructions now. Noises are everywhere, even on the beach.
I loved this hotel. Its very quiet here and the beach is beautiful. Its a little away from the tulum city center and the beach clubs but that’s honestly okay because I like being away from the hustle and stuff sometimes to just relax ok the beach.
The Diamante K Hotel is a dream! You are right on the beach, the rooms are very good and the staff is very courteous, friendly and attentive. The Maya Tulum Archaeological Zone is close by and other awesome beaches can be found along this coast.
Kin ha tulum was the perfect staying in tulum.
Closer To some places to have a beer, however if you have a car you can Park in the front of the hotel.
Staff was really nice and suggest us more bar cose to the beach! (very nice!)
On the most beautiful part if the beach and a bit away from the cartel-fueled bustle of central Tulum, the hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in, and had the best food we ate anywhere in Mexico, and we ate well.
very nicely located Boutique hotel in an already calmer area of Tulum. stylish Beach Club; enough Beach beds for everyone. beautiful sea. delicious food. Hotel is perfectly merged into nature.
The location was beautiful! You are right on the white sand beaches, in the heart of Tulum hotel zone. The rooms are beautifully designed and it truly feels like living in paradise.
