London is a great city with lots of attractions.
London is a great city with lots of attractions. The tube system is busy but convenient to get to most places without undue delay. My advice for a week in London would be to do a day (1) in the West End and take in a show. A day (2) Thames Uber boat down the river taking in Battersea, Westminster, Tower Bridge, Tower, Canary Warf and Greenwich. A day (3) doing the markets of Nottinghill and Camden. A day (4) doing Knightsbridge, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square Oxford and Regent Steets and GreenPark and Hyde Park. A day (5) a trip to Henley on Thames via Windsor Castle and Maidenhead.Guest review byRobert GavinSouth Africa - 2.0
We had two rooms booked since March for our stay in...
We had two rooms booked since March for our stay in September, one of which was specifically a twin room for my two sons (aged 18 and 21). On arrival, after a long and confusing check-in process, we were first told that the hotel could not find our reservation. After around 15 stressful minutes, they eventually located it—only to then inform us that they had no twin rooms available due to an unspecified "issue," which was never properly explained. Instead, they gave my sons a king bed to share. These are two grown men, so it was completely unsuitable. In the end, one of them had to sleep on the floor. This was a shocking and very disappointing start to our holiday, especially after booking so far in advance.Guest review byPaul - 6.0

We stayed in Hounslow area for one primary reason, our hotel was close to the Hounslow Central Tube Station which was close to Heathrow airport for our departing flight and we could take a short tube ride to The Kew Gardens the day before we left. The area of Hounslow Central has a significant immigrate population. It was quiet and safe enough but was different than much of England.Guest review byCrow CamperUnited States - 2.0
Horrible stay with a double bed in a very small room.
Horrible stay with a double bed in a very small room. Whole room was cluttered with furniture. Too small for a double bed. Ideal for a small single bed. Disastress two nights. We will not consider this hotel again and will not reccomend unfortunately.Guest review byLakshmanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a bustling area of East London with an English working class and immigrant population. For me it was a pied a terre so I cannot speak to the amenities of Ilford itself. The Uber taxi drivers were uniformly helpful. I felt at ease there.]Guest review byLipsonIreland - 6.0
An update to my previous critical review, which was uploaded...
An update to my previous critical review, which was uploaded on 29 April. On 2 May, I received a message from the owner, apologising for the non response, advising that their colleague had found the hearing aids but "hadn''t told them." The owner sent a photo of them, then on my confirmation that they were my hearing aids, posted them to my home address, sending a confirmation of proof of posting. Delivered today. It does leave one or two questions, but the way the owner has acted since my review was posted is commendable. I think Booking.com may need to check a few things. The telephone number on the confirmation is the one the owner responds to when arriving, but subsequent calls to that number elicit the response that it has nothing to do with that property. The communication in the last few days comes from a different number.Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last...
Brentford has been upgraded beyond recognition in the last 10 years and especially in the last 5 years. It has become one of the very beautiful and upmarket locations along the River Thames and opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew - a world heritage site - and in the immediate proximity to famous Richmond and its historic palaces and cultural sites, picturesque town centre and equally famous RIchmond Park. Bearing in mind that this is less then half an hour away from the very centre of London, it is a really great location for a holiday, even a city-escape and offers more famous landscapes, River and green walks than probably any other borough in London. Yet it is much more tranquil than any place closer to London with a host of nice new restaurants and cafes.Guest review byKarinUnited Kingdom - 2.0

This premises should not be listed as a hotel it needs an "s" to read hostel. The room should not be described as standard and should be listed as basic. Nothing looked like the pictures shown on your website and none of the facilities listed were available. The conditions were so bad we left a day early, would have left even earlier if we could have but unfortunately at the time that was not an option. This excuse for a hotel should be removed from your listings if you want to maintain your reputation. We will certainly NOT be using booking .com again if this is the sort of premises that they have to offer. Next time we book a hotel we will dig deeper into the reviews, which we found out after the fact, were mostly negative. The whole place was a joke and, for us, not a very funny one.Guest review byAnonymous
