The stuff is amazing! The location is amazing! Great view from the room

Paciano is a gem of a small village and this hotel was above average. We travel a lot throughout Italy and usually the staff far exceed the accommodations so you might overlook the shortcomings. This hotel is the complete package. We stayed for a week and traveled around the area. Claudio and his staff were welcoming, helpful, down to earth, and the hotel room was great. Spacious with a great view of the valley below us. Highly recommended.

Everything One of the best places I’ve stayed in The world. Very unique experience. We actually stayed in the castle, it was fantastic. The owners are extremely sweet and helpful. This was our first time at Monteverdi, and we’re already planning to return later this year. What was meant to be a three-night stay quickly turned into four, because everything was so wonderful — we simply didn’t want to leave. Here are a few of our favorite things about Monteverdi: First, the location and views. Each morning, we went on long hikes through the rolling Tuscan hills, soaking in the breathtaking scenery of this UNESCO-protected landscape. Every evening, we watched the sunset in peaceful awe. Time slows down here — and you truly learn to savor each moment. Second, the food. Every single meal was exceptional. The team sources fresh, local ingredients and crafts them into dishes that are both comforting and inspired. We looked forward to breakfast every morning, trying something new each time. And dinner? Even better. Riccardo and his team curated a seasonal menu that we absolutely loved — and since we dined there nearly every night, they even created a few special off-menu dishes just for us, which was such a memorable touch. Third, the experiences. From wine tasting at Le Ripi to day trips through charming nearby towns, there’s so much to explore. We also made time to relax at the property — the pool, sauna, and spa treatments were some of the best we’ve ever experienced. And above all, the people. Every member of the Monteverdi team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making us feel at home. Their hospitality created a space where we could truly unwind and be present. Monteverdi is a place that stays with you — and we’re already counting down the days until we return.

Obviously everyone stresses the location, which is great. To us the key difference between Maalot and other Roman hotels, including those well established and grande dames is staff. Maalot team is truly wonderful, very professional but warm and always helpful. There is no task too difficult to manage by the team. It would be unfair to single out only one person as ALL staff is wonderful but I need to mention Eleonora who save our holidays twice.

When we first arrived, the concierge offered us a tour of the stunning property. We were then escorted to our room, which exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, comfortable, well-designed, and boasted amazing views from the windows. The breakfast was not only delicious but also fresh and fulfilling. The staff demonstrated exceptional generosity, always remembering our coffee preferences and making us feel genuinely special. Additionally, they provided us with valuable tips and information about the surrounding area. The pool, with its beautiful vistas, added to the overall charm. Without a doubt, this is a place to celebrate special occasions and indulge oneself.

Time at the monastero is everything you might expect for a 5 star resort experience with some notable distinctions. Amazing attention to detail and systems of management, result in a sense of tranquility which is hugely amplified by the monastery setting. This really can't be overstated. The peaceful environment they create here is quite precious. Secondly, having a limited number guests (20), means that there is a sense of privacy missing from some resorts or hotels. Thirdly, the views are literally some of the best photos from our trip. Fourthly, the generosity and warmth of the staff in every area is 100% consistent. A great credit to management. Loved our stay. Obviously not an every holiday option, but a special stay that will be remembered for a very long time.

A truly magical experience staying at Borgo Del Cabreo!! From start to finish, we were made to feel welcome, and cared for. The views are incredibly wonderful, yet private. Because of its limited accomodations, the guest list is small and thus, intimate. The Staff is very friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to care for their Guests. The location, while close to town, is private, behind an access gate. Facilites are exceptional and the heated pool is very inviting.

Exceptionally well designed for the guests. Great breakfast, with outdoor or indoor dining. Wonderful selection of foods and drinks. Hotel offers e-bikes to rent. Quiet, and peaceful.
